Stephen Clifton
Owner and Founder of Granite Pages
I am retired and a book collector. And my focus continues to be on acquiring that next shiny new first edition, signed by the author, with a fine dust jacket and in impeccable condition.
But like most collectors, I end up with excess books. Duplicates. Unwanted surplus from auctions. And sometimes I simply want to change my mind about what I want to keep.
Some of my surplus stock will be collectible quality. Some simply reading quality. I try to make this clear. If I describe a book as fine or even very good it’s collectible. If only good, you can happily read it on the train.
And I price accordingly. So for a collectible book I will price to the market. For a reading copy I will let it go cheaply and recycle the cash into improving my collection.
Feel free to contact me if you want further information. I am happy to arrange video calls so that you can see the book for yourself.
